Prayer for Finals

Dear Heavenly Father, Lord God Almighty, Maker of the heavens and the earth, Creator of all good, Leader of our lives, Lover of our souls,

Lord, as we continue through finals week we pray for you continual strength and support.  We ask that you be with us.  We ask that you wake us up in the mornings.  We ask that you stay by our sides each day.  We ask for you to sit next to us even into the late nights as we study.  And if we get to sleep tonight stay with us as we rest.

Lord, we are confident that you will be with us because you have been with us up until this point.  Your faithfulness in the past proves your faithfulness in the future.  You have gotten us this far.  Please, do not abandon us now.  Some of us will need you a little bit extra this week.  Be what we need.  Be the God that we need.  Help us to be reminded of your faithfulness.  When the night is long and when sleep is far away let us remember your faithfulness.

Lord, bring people into our lives today that can bless us.  We need that one person today that can make us smile.  Help us to be paying attention when they come by.  Help us to be able to be that person for someone else.  Help us to be looking for someone we can bless.  Help us to be that person that says the words that gets someone through the day.  Give us the ability to be true community this week.

Lord, we pray these things in the strong and powerful name of Jesus Christ the one who defeated the grave.
