Being part of an Evangelical Christian tradition we talk about evangelism a lot more often that we actually do it.  Many more of us discuss it and are trained in it and made to feel guilty about it than actually participate in doing it.  Some of that has to do with how we try to encourage each other to share our faith.  Some of the reticence has to with what we consider evangelism to be.  Some of our fear involves these images of others doing evangelism in ways that are so uncomfortable to us.  Some of our lack of talking about our spiritual lives in a way that makes it interesting and inviting to others is about our own personal sin.

But then there are some of us who don’t do it only because we have never challenged to do it.  We have set aside a day October 11, 2012 to encourage every believing student to talk t at least one other person about what they truly believe about the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  On 10/11/12 would you join us in sharing your faith with someone who you have never shared your faith with before.  Engage24 is a 24-hour period focused on engaging the world with the good news of Christ.

While Engage24 is intensely focused on a single day of evangelism (10/11/12), our mission is to promote a 24/7 lifestyle of evangelism and engagement with the gospel.  Engage24 is a 24 hour period when college students will make a coordinated effort to engage their campuses with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our desire is to see every believing college student share the Gospel with one person that day.

We are engaging on 10/11/12. will you?
