Week 2: This Week at Drexel 10/1 – 10/7

So we have survived Week 1!  Hopefully, everyone is still with us.  On to Week 2!

Monday 10/1 6:00pm-8:00pm, Ross Commons, 3rd Floor  Male Discipleship  Sponsored by Disciples inDeed  This is our weekly bible study for males.  Every Monday at 6:00pm is another chance to strengthen your daily walk with God!  Here you will find a weekly dose of support and encouragement.  No experience necessary and all questions are welcome!  You can learn more about what to expect at Male Discipleship at this previous post.

Tuesday 10/2 Drexel University will be holding Convocation at 11 AM in the Auditorium of the Main Building.  Rev. Brian Musser will be participating in this year’s ceremony.  Please come and check it out.

Wednesday 10/3 we will gather at 2PM in my office (James E. Marks Intercultural Center room 210) for Prayer.  In the middle of your day, in the middle of you week take some time to pray.  This hopefully is more convenient for our commuter friends that may not be near campus for our evening Discipleship times.

Wednesday 10/3 6:00pm-8:00pm, Ross Commons, 3rd Floor Female Discipleship  Sponsored by Disciples inDeed  This is our weekly bible study for ladies.  Every Wednesday at 6:00pm is another chance to strengthen your daily walk with God!  Here you will find a weekly does of support and encouragement.  This term we’re studying Embracing God’s Design for Your Life by Sheila Walsh.  No experience necessary and questions are welcome!

Wednesday 10/3 from 6 – 7:30 PM in the Interfaith Chapel at the James E. Marks Intercultural Center the Interfaith Council will continue their Journey Conversations.  This week we will be learning The Art of Giving and Receiving Our Stories:  An Introduction to compassionate listening and the Journey Conversations Method.  Rev. Brian Musser will be facilitating the conversation.

Sunday 10/7  at 9:30 AM outside between Myers and Kelly Dorms – Find-A-Church (Week 2).  In partnership with several Christian students organizations will highlight the churches that their students attend.  5 or 6 local churches will be represented.  Hear directly from Drexel students about the churches they go to.  What is it like?  What should you expect?  How should you dress?  What is the worship like?  How do you get there?  How do you get back?  When you can meet them to get a ride if you need one?  This is an awesome opportunity to find a church home early in your college career.  This event will be held first 3 weeks of the term.

Also on Sunday 10/7 Rev. Brian Musser will be preaching at the Rancocas Valley Baptist Church in Somerton, NJ at 10:30 AM.  If you want to hear Rev. Musser preach please contact him and he will arrange transportation.  RVBC is one of our partnering churches through the South Jersey Baptist Association but is a distance from campus so if want to go please give me plenty of notice to arrange transportation.

Any questions do not hesitate to contact Rev. Brian Musser at bjm63@drexel.edu or (215) 499-2970 or stop his office in the James E. Marks Intercultural Center on 33rd and Chestnut Sts., 2nd Floor, Room 210.
