Praying for Campuses (Part 1): Single Prayer

Recently, I have been concentrating on prayer.  Most of my posts have been applicable to anyone and everyone.  Now I want  to transition the conversation in the direction of specifically praying for colleges and universities.  The next 8 days I will be discussing the ways you can pray for a campus.  Even if you are not a student our colleges and universities need you prayers.  Please take time to pray for the students, faculty, professional staff and administration of the institutions that are so important within our culture.

There are many ways to pray. The following list is just a few examples of how you could pray effectively for your campus.

Single Prayer – The first and easiest type of prayer is alone. Start asking God whenever and wherever you pray to come to your campus. Remember the promise in Matthew 7:7 + 8 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who  asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

All you need to do this is five minutes a day alone with God.

Would you commit to pray for one campus everyday?  Which one has God placed in your life?  If you are praying for a campus would you leave the name of that campus in the comment section?
