Praying for Campuses (Part 4): Watchful Prayer

Recently, I have been concentrating on prayer.  Most of my posts have been applicable to anyone and everyone.  Now I want  to transition the conversation in the direction of specifically praying for colleges and universities.  The next 8 days I will be discussing the ways you can pray for a campus.  Even if you are not a student our colleges and universities need you prayers.  Please take time to pray for the students, faculty, professional staff and administration of the institutions that are so important within our culture.

There are many ways to pray. The following list is just a few examples of how you could pray effectively for your campus.

1)  Single Prayer

2)  Scripture Prayer

3)  Group Prayer

4)  Watchful Prayer – Place yourself in a central location on your campus. Stay there for awhile.  Watch the people who pass by. If you can say a short sentence prayer for each one. Ask that God works in each of their lives. Colossians 4:1 2 tells us, Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Where would be a good place on campus for you to observe the normal routine of the campus and pray for those you see?  When would you be able to do this?  Would you be willing to make this part of your weekly routine?

Anything to add?
