Spring Break Ministry Road Trip Day #2

Hey Everybody,

I’ll be trying to keep you updated on what is going on with our Drexel University Spring Road Trip.  Drexel is on a quarter system so our Spring Break is usually a week or two later than most other Universities.  We take advantage of this by going someplace close by and helping out Campus Ministries in the area.  Last year was our first Road Trip and we went to Pittsburgh and helped our good friends at University of Pittsburgh, California University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Melon University and on the way back we connected with Penn State.

This year we are headed to the Baltimore area.

  • Sunday –  Johns Hopkins University (JHU)
  • Monday – Towson University (TU)
  • Tuesday  – Anne Arrundel Community College (AACC)
  • Wednesday – University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC)
  • Thursday – University of Maryland College Park (UMCP)

Please continue to pray for us as the week progresses.  Today we will be spending the day at Towson University.  We will be engaging the campus doing surveys, prayer walking, evangelism, and maybe Soularium.  There are two Bible Studies on campus today at 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM.  We will be connecting with the Baptist Campus Minister at Towson and Collegiate Church Planting Strategist for Maryland/Delaware, Mike McQuitty.  Also, Students from the First Baptist Church of Perryville, MD will be joining us for a couple of days.

Please pray for:

  • our travel safety,
  • the on campus Bible Studies
  • Mike McQuitty as he ministers at Towson and sets strategy on the state organizational level.
  • pray that the students from Drexel, Perryville and Towson are able to work well together for the glory of God.
  • pray that someone makes a commitment to Christ at Towson today.

Check Back Tomorrow For Another Update.

  1. Hey Everybody,

We are off to a slow morning. Towson cancelled classes for the day but we are still going at noon to see if on campus students will be hanging out. Towson has about 10,000 residential students so there should be a lot of students with nothing to do. Hopefully, we can get into some good conversations.

  2. We are done for the day. Although, the snow changed our plans drastically and the Bible Studies were cancelled for the evening, we were able to spend about 5 hours on campus and got into 15 really good spiritual conversations several of them led to presentations of the Gospel. Nobody committed to Christ today but a lot of students thought about Him in ways they haven’t before.

Anything to add?
