Week 3: Winter Term 2014 Schedule

At Drexel there are many opportunities to plug into the body of Christ on any given day.  Here are some of the weekly highlights.

575240_261609783961768_922303458_nMonday 1/20 – Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in the Drexel Athletic Center, Media Room 9 – 10 PM.  Join them for a time to celebrate and support the spiritual lives of our all our athletes (including varsity, club and intramural).  Food, Fellowship, Fun Prayer and Christian Discussion

did_logo_finalTuesday 1/21- Disciples InDeed (DID) hosts Ladies’ Discipleship:  6 – 8 PM.  Location TBD.  Join the Disciples InDeed women as they discuss pertinent life issues through the lens of their Christian faith.  Then hang around as they explore specific areas of their walk with Christ through accountability.

Wednesday 1/22- DID hosts Male Discipleship:  7 – 9 PM.  Location TBD.  Join the Disciples InDeed men as they walk through Romans verse by verse, section by section.  Then stick around as we help each other apply our Christian faith directly to our lives at Drexel through 10 accountability questions.

dugc_logo-e1375893499640Thursday 1/23- Drexel University Gospel Choir (DUGC) Rehearsal:  7 – 9 PM.   Location MacAlister 2032.

topLogoThursday 1/23- Drexel Students for Christ (DSC) hosts Large Group: 7:15 – 8:45 PM. Location Mitchell Auditorium, Bossone Building.  Drexel Students for Christ seeks to build community. One of the ways we do that is through our weekly Large Group meetings where we worship our Savior and hear His word, as delivered by a local pastor.

Friday 1/24- DID hosts Mid-day Bible Study:  2 – 4 PM.  Location TBD.  Join Disciples InDeed as they host a Bible Study during the day specifically designed to fit into commuter and evening students’ schedule.

Fridays 1/24- Chinese Christian Fellowship (CCF) hosts Weekly Bible Study:  6:30 – 9:30 PM.   Location – TBD.  Separate undergrad and grad Bible studies with a meal.  We discuss how the scriptures relate to the joys and struggles of being a student.  Everyone is welcome including those who are committed followers of Christ and others who are just curious about Christianity.

apictureofgrace_flierSaturday 1/25 DUGC hosts A Picture of Grace:  7:30 PM. Stein Auditorium, Nesbitt Hall.  An Original Theatrical Performance written, directed and performed by the DUGC.  COST:  $5 Students | $8 Adults | Door $10

Special Events Later in the Term

Friday, 2/7 – Sunday 2/9 the Baptist Resource Network through the Sending Network hosts Discovery Weekend.  Discovery Weekend is a retreat experience for those contemplating extended service in Christian ministry through missionary experiences over Spring Break, Summer Break, Christmas Break  or post-college.  Contact Rev. Sunday, 2/9 DUGC in partnership with the Jazztet hosts An Evening of African American Music:  6 – 9 PM.

Sunday, 2/16 DUGC will be in concert at the Nazarene Baptist Church: 4 PM.


Friday, 2/21 DID hosts Food for the Soul:  7:30  – 10 PM.  Location:  City View Dining Room of MacAlister.   Soul Food, Soulful Music, A Word for the Soul.  Speaker will be Rev. Stan Williams.  Guest Artist will be Brandon Moulden.

Saturday 3/1 DID hosts Concepts & Core Values #52 (CCV) 7 – 10 PM.  Location TBD.  CCV is a monthly large group, discussion based, multi-media experience with guest artists and speakers where our community evaluates a relevant Concepts through our Biblical Core Values.  Check back for more details.

Saturday 3/8 DUGC hosts their 36th Anniversary Concert 7:30 PM.
