Check out inCounter 2014, an annual retreat offered to college students in Pennsylvania/South Jersey.   http://incounter.org/
We’ve got a great weekend planned for you and look forward to hosting you at Roxbury Camp near Orrstown, PA, November 14-16!
“But the seed planted in the good earth represents those who hear the Word, embrace it, and produce a harvest beyond their wildest dreams.” – Mark 4:20, The Message
Jesus spells it out in scripture that those who are his followers and rooted in him will bear spiritual fruit and produce a harvest many times over. Too often we assume this is mostly true for “professional Christians,” those who do ministry for a living, such as pastors, missionaries, and campus ministers, with the rest of us getting a free pass. But the good news is that ALL of us get in on this deal; we all have an assignment. EACH of us gets the privilege of making a difference in the world for the sake of the Gospel!
Alan Hirsch, in “Fast Forward,” says, “What marks Christianity as distinct is that it is truly a people movement: every believer (and not just some presumed religious elite) is an agent of the kingdom and is called to bring God’s influence into all the realms of human existence.”
This year’s InCounter will be focused on helping you affirm this truth and integrate it into your life. Through presentations by our speakers, table discussions with your fellow students, challenging breakout groups, and times of personal reflection, you will be challenged to affirm and identify your own assignment for God’s Kingdom on your campus, local context, and beyond.
